Canada firmly intends to complete its military mission in Afghanistan by the end of 2011
Speaking at a press conference in Ontario Gvelfe, Prime Minister Stephen Harper reiterated his Government's firm intention to complete the Canadian military mission in Afghanistan by the end of 2011.
"I made clear during my recent meetings in the United States about our intentions. By 2011 the term of our presence in Afghanistan will exceed the period of participation in the two combined, the world's wars," - said Harper. - "I think this time we should see the results of independent work of the Afghan government's own security."
